To infinity and beyond!

... Before photos have been taken and are in the computer.
... Various goals, objectives, and metrics / measurements have been recorded in the fitness log.
... Workout and meals planned for tomorrow.
... Today is 'D minus 1' and we're ready for launch and lift off.
... I'm psyched, focused, and ready to go!
... As Buzz Lightyear would say, "To infinity and beyond!"

I feel like a kid w/ a new bike!

... Bought a couple of bikes over the weekend ... Looking forward to getting in a little cardio-aerobic work and mixing things up a bit from just running (outside or on the treadmill).

... Deb and I rode the neighborhood as well as along the new bike path near VA 234.

... I feel like a kid w/ a new bike!

What do I have to loose?

It's time to COWBOY UP ... Reflections on a family vacation out west.

Had a chance to see some real cowboys working the cattle ranches in California and Nevada ... Yep, it's time to COWBOY UP! ... After all -- scale weight was UP ... Belt size UP a notch too ... Thank God we did a lot of city touring on foot and we ended our family vacation hiking the mountains in Yosemite ... Without such activity I'm afraid this two-week vacation would have set me back too far fitness-wise.

Ain't complaining ... Did try to make healthful decisions at meal time ... Succeeded more often than not ... Did try to get in some body-weight exercises daily ... Succeeded more often than not in this department too ... Focused a lot of time and energy on THINGS THAT MATTER ... Worked on time and relationship w/ family ... Concentrated on the WHY- versus on the HOW-issues of wellness (physical, mental, spiritual).

So to get back to the western theme I started on ... That's about it ... Don't want to be accused of being 'all talk - no cattle' ... Yep, it's time to COWBOY UP ... As in when you're thrown from your horse (or bucked from a bull) you just get up, dust yourself off, and get back to what you were supposed to be doing.
