Today I started the K4WSC!
Ten 100-yard/meter wind sprints w/ a 100-yard/meter walk/recovery between each sprint. That was my cardio session this morning. When you add in the warm-up and stretching it took 20 minutes to complete.
The K4WSC stands for "Kelly's 4 Week Sprint Challenge." Kelly Odair suggested this as a way to shake up ones cardio. I figure I'm ready for something new. The old treadmill is getting a little boring and the summer weather seems right for some outdoor aerobic-cardio.
Ran each wind-sprint in 15 seconds (on average). Goal will be to both improve in time and to increase the frequency of sprints by quickening the walking pace and adding more sprints per session.
Didn't set any land-speed records today. But the workout sure felt good.
