Trials and Tribulations

"The gem cannot be polished without friction,
nor man perfected without trials."

-- Ancient Chinese Proverb

... I've been thinking a lot about the changes I've made over the past few years.
... Have been following the BFL program now for quite some time (today is C12D39).

... There's still a lot of polishing to be done.
... There's a gem-of-a-physique in there somewhere.

... But then I must ask myself if my trials and tribulations are anything like those of other champions. What about those who've overcome the loss of a child or spouse or of those with only 25% lung capacity or those living with HIV, etc., etc.?
... I guess some gems are more easily polished then others.

John,

There always seems to be another stream to cross.

Perhaps that's why it may be best to take joy and solace in the journey, savoring arrivals at our so called goals and destinations as waypoints, temporary highlights that serve only as a place to rest before embarking towards the next object of desire.

But I was poetic, yes? :-)
